This 4 hour refresher course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide CPR including responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies including:
- Legal aspects
- Duty of Care
- ARC Guidelines
- PPE and infection control
- CPR Adult & infant
- Casualty Assessment
- This course is delivered and assessed in English by qualified trainers and assessors in a Hybrid format. Theory is online and must be passed at 100% before you can attend your practical training session.
- Upon successful completion each participant will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment
- HLTAID009 provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation will need to be refreshed every year to stay current
1 Day Course (Includes CPR and basic emergency life support).
This course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to provide First Aid including:
- Assessing an emergency situation
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- Management of an unconscious patient
- Medical conditions (heart attack, diabetes, epilepsy)
- First aid for minor wounds
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma
- Control major bleeding and shock
- Communicating details of the accident
- Documentation
- Debriefing and responsibility
- This course is delivered and assessed in English by qualified trainers and assessors in a Hybrid format. Theory is online and must be passed at 100% before you can attend your practical training session.
- Upon successful completion each participant will receive a nationally recognised statement of attainment
- HLTAID011 provide first aid is valid for 3 years, however HLTAID009 provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation will need to be refreshed every year to stay current
This course is designed for individuals who need skills to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation studies development that will support and prepare them to be able to undertake further vocational study.
It is suitable for those individuals who require a:
Prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training
Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) level 3
Entry level digital technology and employability skills
Education, training, and employment goals
In consultation with our students, we will provide a training and support plan that demonstrates how the course is delivered and how the outcomes will be achieved.
This qualification is available to be delivered in Queensland and NSW. In Queensland this qualification is subsidised by the Queensland Government under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program. In NSW this qualification is subsidised by NSW Government through the Smart and Skilled Program. Our Student Services Team will assist you to navigate your course and funding based on where you live.
