Qld Government – Certificate 3 Guarantee Program
The Certificate 3 Guarantee program provides eligible Queenslanders with an opportunity to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification subsidised by the Queensland Government. Individuals are required to pay a reduced co-contribution fee to gain access to the government subsidy
SUBSIDISED TRAINING UNDER THE CERTIFICATE 3 GUARANTEE
Concession card holders pay as little as $29.90 and non-concessional students pay just $39.00. The remainder of the course fees are subsidised under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program. It is important that you take the time to consider and compare your training options and costs as a completed Certificate III course will use your Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidy entitlement.
Co-Contribution fees may be paid on behalf of a student by a referring agency such as a Workforce Australia Provider or other employment service provider. High school graduates, school leavers and Yr13 students may also apply.
ELIGIBILITY
You may be eligible for the Certificate 3 Guarantee funding if you meet all the following requirements:
- You are 15 years of age or older
- Have finished or left secondary school
- Are a Queensland Resident
- Are an Australian citizen or Australian Permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen
- Not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate III or higher-level qualification*, not including qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training.

Qld Government – Higher Level Skills Program
The Higher Level Skills program provides eligible Queenslanders with an opportunity to complete their first post-school certificate IV qualification subsidised by the Queensland Government. Individuals are required to pay a reduced co-contribution fee to gain access to the government subsidy
Subsidised training under higher level skills
Co-contribution fees for Higher Level Skills eligible students start from as little as $45 for concession card holders and $54 for non-concessional students. The remainder of the course fees are subsidised under the Higher Level Skills program. It is important that you take the time to consider and compare your training options and costs as a completed Certificate IV course will use your Higher Level Skills subsidy entitlement. It is also important to note, that enrolment into some Higher Level Skills subsidised training programs may require you to already be working in the Industry for the qualification you are planning to undertake. NSW Government – Smart and Skilled
Smart and Skilled is the NSW Vocational Education and training system’s reform which enables people to gain the qualifications they need to get the job they want at an affordable cost to start or advance their career.
SUBSIDISED TRAINING
This training is subsidised by the NSW Government. The course fee is determined by the NSW provider calculator, please contact a SSI Education and Training representative to obtain a quote.
* Previous qualifications do not affect eligibility but may affect the student fee. New entrants may be entitled to fee-free training for their first two qualifications
SMART AND SKILLED ELIGIBILITY
- You may be eligible for the Smart and Skilled funding if you meet all the following requirements:
- You are 15 years of age or older
- Have finished or left secondary school
- Living or working in NSW (or an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person living in specific NSW border areas)
- An Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, Australian humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand
